Welcome to the relaunch of the SAM BLOG. The BLOG will have three purposes.

* Second to provide a calendar and information on future events.
* And third to celebrate you and your colleagues accomplishments.

Assessment and PAVS are coming
Please consider making time to attend one of the Assessment/PAVS workshops:
SAM workshop - this Friday in SAM 105, 1:30-2:30
General workshop - Monday, November 17, Library Room A, 2:30-4:30
Each SAM department will be expected to write an annual assessment report connecting your assessment work with the AS degree outcomes and to the "quantitative reasoning" requirement in the AA degree outcomes. This report will be due in late Spring, 2009 but I hope that we would be intentional about our assessment efforts and move beyond reflection to a more active assessment effort.
Additionally we will be completing PAVS reports by February 25, 2009. PAVS stands for Program Assessment and Viability Study. The PAVS reports will have less requirements than before and will be connected to assessment.
